Steven has a general practice emphasizing the areas of real estate, business and bankruptcy law. Whether it’s representing local residents or A-list celebrities, these companion practice areas enable Steven to provide comprehensive and effective legal counsel across a wide range of issues. After all, every legal transaction, whether business or real estate-related, involves a debtor-creditor relationship.
Steven is a “people person” driven by the satisfaction he receives from helping clients form and grow their businesses, negotiate and document deals, manage financial crises, and creatively resolve disputes.
What makes Steven different is that prior to going solo, he spent 18 years with a full service Westside firm. With that background, Steven brings the extensive training and talent of a larger firm with the personal attention and direct accessibility that only a solo can provide. This certainly explains why clients have referred to Steven as the lawyer they swear by, not at.
As a leader in the legal community, Steven keeps current and knowledgeable on emerging issues, new laws, and trends affecting his clients by serving in leadership positions with various legal associations on a national, state-wide and local level.
Steven is a Business Law Fellow of the ABA’s Business Law Section and a past Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Bankruptcy Section. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the State Bar’s Solo and Small Firm Section and the Board of Directors of the Encino Lawyers Association. Steven is Martindale Hubbell-rated “AV Preeminent”.
Steven received his law degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, and his undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara.
Steven was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and is married to his high school prom date. They have two boys, a rabbit, a chinchilla, and a rescue Terrier mix that they hope will one day get her barking under control.
