Paul has been an attorney since 1978 and his current practice is substantially devoted to transactional matters involving real estate. Paul typically represents high net worth individuals and real estate promoters but has also represented single property owners and publicly traded, national companies. A number of Paul’s current clients have worked with Paul for more than 10 years and a few for more than 20 years.

Paul’s typical real estate transactional matters include acquisition (including formation of the acquiring entity), financing, leasing and sale of retail, office, industrial and multi-unit residential real property. Paul’s purchase and sale transactions vary from vacant land to regional shopping centers and mid-size, multi-story office buildings. The value of those transactions range from a few hundred thousand dollars to more than $15 million dollars. Paul has negotiated leases for more than 2 million square feet of retail space, including leases with numerous nationwide major retailers. Paul is a member of the Los Angeles County Leasing and Development Steering Committee.

In addition, Paul represents a real estate trust deed investment fund which makes short-term bridge loans secured by income-producing real estate. Paul has also represented clients in the purchase of non-performing debt secured by commercial real estate as well as in non-judicial foreclosures of real estate.
