Mr. Machtinger primarily represents consumer plaintiffs in all types of personal injury cases. He has also represented a wide variety of clients in complex civil litigation, and has served as a Deputy District Attorney (criminal prosecutor) with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office through the TAP program. He is an experienced litigator, a seasoned negotiator, and a trained mediator who makes all types of clients feel comfortable with the legal system while aggressively pursuing the best possible result for each client.
Mr. Machtinger received his J.D. degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 1991, and his B.A. degree in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985. Mr. Machtinger is licensed to practice before all of the state courts of California, in the federal United States District Court for the Central District of California, and before the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Machtinger is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (formerly the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Association) and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
