Jami Fosgate is an experienced family law attorney, but she devotes her law practice to peacemaking and providing affordable divorce and family conflict solutions. Jami has extensive consensual dispute resolution training and declines to represent parties in contested cases. Jami believes a family in the crisis of divorce will have a better resolution if they remain in control of the outcome of their case and do not leave decisions about their financial future and parenting their children to a judge. Jami focuses her practice on mediation and collaborative representation to facilitate agreements between people in conflict to enable them to create a solution that is tailored to their unique family situation.
Jami Fosgate offers free consultations to couples who attend together to learn the benefits of not litigating a divorce or family law matter. Mediation sessions may be scheduled in the evenings and on weekends for the convenience of the family. Jami Fosgate is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California and was in the Top 15% of her graduating class at Loyola Law School. Jami is admitted to the California State Bar and is a member of the Family Law and Solo/Small Firm Sections. She is also a member of the Family Law Sections of the American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association and Pasadena Bar Association.
Jami is a member of Southern California Mediation Association, Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, San Fernando Valley Collaborative Professionals and Pasadena Collaborative Divorce organizations.
Jami volunteers for Los Angeles Superior Court as a mediator/daily settlement officer for the Pasadena, Van Nuys and Downtown Family Law courts.
