During the 37+ years that Mr. Kim has been successfully litigating cases, Mr. Kim has helped his clients recover over $300 million from verdicts and settlements. Mr. Kim also has helped to successfully defend and save his clients billions of dollars for which they had been sued.
Mr. Kim has litigated complex civil and business cases in both the State and Federal courts. He has tried over 50 jury and non-jury trials and arbitrations. He has handled employment litigation including wage and hour, discrimination and harassment. He has also handled unfair competition claims, class action securities, shareholder and partnership disputes, intellectual property disputes including trademark litigation, real property disputes, construction defect litigation, product liability, personal injury claims, and consumer litigation. Mr. Kim has represented both plaintiffs and defendants thus giving him insight and perspective as to how each side approaches a case. Mr. Kim has represented foreign governments, foreign 500 corporations, large, medium and small corporations, partnerships, entrepreneurs, and individuals.
Before opening the Law Offices of Christopher Kim, Mr. Kim co-founded Lim, Ruger & Kim, LLP where he practiced complex civil and business litigation for 30 years. Prior to co-founding Lim, Ruger & Kim, Mr. Kim was associated with Lewis, D’Amato, Brisbois & Bisgaard, a national law firm where he defended professional malpractice claims against lawyers, accountants, brokers, product liability claims and handled other civil and business litigation.
Mr. Kim has been selected as a California Super Lawyer almost every year since 2007. He was selected as a lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference. Mr. Kim is an Associate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, LA Chapter which requires extensive jury experience for admission to membership.
Mr. Kim is also heavily involved in his community through various non-profit organizations. Currently, he is a member of LA Rotary 5.
